Wall framing...

 Above is before...

This job was to frame two walls inside a shop/studio.

Here is the wall completed.  The home owner is doing the finish work.

Here is the area where the home owner wanted the wall.  There was a couple obstacles such as venting, old cement, and alignment bracing that was needed, but it turned out great.

Here is the wall completed and ready for the homeowner to finish it off.

Cement Driveway...

We recently poured some cement to make a driveway bigger.  It's part one of a several part job. Watch for more to come...

How to apply vinyl sign on a trailer using wet application...

Ok so this is a 'construction' job all on it's own!  I won't lie and say it was a piece of cake because, ahem, it was so not!  It took us all day to complete one full side plus the smaller vinyl on the back of the trailer.  We for sure learned some things along the way that I will gladly pass on...

First step is to decide on your graphics, design, or text.  Cut them yourself using a cutter or order them from a reputable shop.  We got ours from Schoen Signs & Graphics.  They customized exactly what we wanted and were super easy to work with.  It started out with our logo and information. They included instructions and tips to help with the application of our graphics, but some stuff we seriously just learned as we went! We also watched THIS video which gave us a good visual on what to expect.

Next you will want to check the weather.  Yes it is easier when it is warm, not windy, and for sure no rain or snow.  You will also want to clean your area with a rag and water to get off bugs and junk and then with rubbing alcohol to get off any remaining residue for a squeaky clean surface.  We also removed all screws that would be in the way of the vinyl and cut an 'X' in the backing that would contact the screws. This made it so we didn't have to remove every screw in the area and made it easier to apply.

We used painters tape to place it where we wanted it after using a tape measure to get it lined out just right.

Now it was time to wet it and apply.  So nerve wracking!  Peel the liner from the back of the graphics.  Mist your surface with a spray bottle filled with water and a tiny drop of dish soap.  This will help the vinyl not instantly stick so you can move it around a smudge if you need to.  Squeegee your graphics into place starting in the middle working outward to release any air bubbles.  Mist the paper backing to make it easier to release from the graphics. Pull backing away at an angle firmly and smoothly.  Not too fast or too slow.  Now re-squeegee to remove any bubbles still visible.  Let 'soak' in sun for at least an hour to help remove any remaining bubbles (can pin prick any stubborn ones that didn't leave). Then poof just like that you've got your advertising ready to go on the road with you!

All said and done (at least with one side), it looks fantastic and we did it!
